On Monday they also struggled with their hits, but they made most of them count. Howie Kendrick stood out and stepped up, making two for 3 hits, 2 home runs, along with 3 run battled ins. Catcher Yan Gomes adds one RBI as well. Washington will start with Patrick Corbin this Tuesday. Corbin’s numbers last season are as follows: 14-7 record, with a 3.25 ERA, and 238 strikeouts in 202.2 innings. Corbin’s career high stats is at 3.80 ERA, 70-61 record, and 1135 swinging strikeouts in 1147.2 innings.
