The betting odds from this college football contest have the home team Missouri Tigers favored by –4 1/2 points. Those who play Missouri on the money line will lay –220 odds with the return on Texas A&M Aggies at +180 odds on the money line.

Texas A&M drops to 8-3 on the 2013 campaign following a 34-10 road defeat last week to the LSU Tigers as a +3 ½ point betting underdog. The game total finished at under 75 points. The Aggies could not overcome a 21-10 first half deficit.

The team gained 299 offensive yards with 75 rushing for 4 yards a carry. Johnny Manziel hit on 16 of 41 passes for 224 yards with a touchdown and two picks. The Aggies had two turnovers and took none away from the Tigers. Texas A&M had trouble sustaining drives going 5 of 14 on third down. On defense Texas A&M surrenders 517 yards with 324 rushing yards to LSU for 6 yards a carry.

Missouri is 10-1 on the 2013 season following a 24-10 road victory last week to the Mississippi Rebels as a -2 ½ point wagering favorite. The game total finished at under 58 ½ points. The Tigers were able to hold on to a 17-3 first half lead.

The Missouri offense produced 260 yards with five yards per rush attempt. Jonathan Franklin hit on 12 of 19 passes for 142 yards with a pick. Henry Josey ran for 95 yards on 15 carries and two scores. On defense Missouri allowed Ole Miss 378 yards with 126 rushing for over 4 yards per run attempt. Each team turned the football over once.

Series Notes:

Missouri and Texas A&M each compete for their second straight year in the SEC conference. They have had plenty of history against one another. Heading into the matchup last year Missouri had won three straight against the Aggies. That all changed with the arrival of Johnny Manziel to the Texas A&M program as the Aggies pounded the Tigers a season ago by the score of 59-29 and covering as a -23 point wagering favorite.

In their victory the Texas A&M built up a 42-7 first half lead on Missouri. The Aggies finished the game by gaining 647 offensive yards and Johnny Manziel passed for 372 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. Manziel capped off a five touchdown performance with two rushing touchdowns. The Aggies had balance in the victory as they ran for 237 yards as well

The over has cashed in two straight meetings between these two clubs. Missouri has covered their past two homes games against Texas A&M in this head to head series.

Texas A&M Notes:

The Aggies three losses this season have come against Alabama and Auburn at home and last week the team dropped a 34-10 decision at LSU. Texas A&M were coming off a bye week after winning three straight games against the likes of Vanderbilt, UTEP and Mississippi St. With a New Year’s Day bowl seemingly out of reach the Aggies can play for a Chick Fil A Appearance at best now with a three losses on their resume. The Cotton Bowl is also a possibility. The best win for Texas A&M came at Ole Miss where they escaped with a 41-38 victory. The three toughest teams on the Texas A&M schedule has all resulted in losses and Missouri can be noted as an elite team that can stand side by side between the Crimson Tide, Tigers and LSU. With all the talent of Johnny Football the signal caller nearly has to be perfect every week as the Aggies sport the 109th ranked defense in all of college football by giving up an average of 460 yards per game. Opponents score 31 points a game against Texas A&M. It is a little too much to ask for any quarterback to try and combat those numbers given up defensively.

Missouri Tigers Notes:

Missouri enters play with a record of 6-1 in the SEC East conference standings holding a one game lead over the South Carolina Gamecocks. Since South Carolina defeated Missouri earlier in the season they hold the tiebreaker over Missouri.

So the east bracket of the SEC Championship Game is set. Should Missouri win on Saturday they will face the Alabama and Auburn winner who face off this week. Should the Tigers fall to the Aggies the Gamecocks would earn the SEC East ticket into the championship game because they have a non-conference tilt with Clemson this week and have been done with regular season conference play.

A blemish on the stat line for Missouri is their pass defense and that must be taken into a account here. Teams throw for 271 yards a game against the Tigers and they just happen to face a Johnny Manziel led squad that can throw the football. It also allows the final opportunity to swing Heisman votes Johnny Football’s way so the Missouri Tigers had better come into this game focuses because the Aggies will be pushing for another Heisman for Johnny Manziel.
