The San Jose St Spartans will begin their 2012 campaign from college football as they travel to face PAC 12 conference power the Stanford Cardinal on Friday night.
Kick off time from Stanford is scheduled for 10PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by the PAC 12 TV Network.

Cardinal head coach David Shaw is back for his second year with the school. He has six starters back on offense and seven to his defense. The team finished at 11-2 a year ago and earned a berth into a BCS Bowl at the Fiesta Bowl where the team was defeated by Oklahoma St 41-38 as a +4 point underdog.
Sophomore quarterback Brett Nottingham will replace Andrew Luck under center and has huge shoes to fill. Fortunately the Cardinal will have their top three rushers back with the team from 2011. They lose their top three pass receivers from last year.
