The BYU Cougars moved to 4-2 on the season after defeating the Utah St Aggies last week 6-3 as a -6 ½ point home favorite. The total went well under the closing line of 45 points.
BYU gathered 380 yards of offense with 145 coming on the ground for just over 3 yards a carry. They won the turnover margin by a +1 difference.
Taysom Hill hit on 24 of 36 passes for 235 yards with a touchdown and a pick. Hill is a running quarterback and gained 80 yards rushing on 19 carries. Jamaal Williams on 17 rushes ran for 71 yards. Cody Hoffman caught eight passes for 114 yards.
BYU allowed Utah St 243 yards offensively with only 41 coming from their run game for just over 1 ½ yards a carry. The Cougars did a good job on third down limiting the Aggies to 4 of 14 conversions.
