The South Florida Bulls fell to 2-2 on the season after a 31-27 road defeat to the Ball St Cardinals from the MAC conference as a -7 ½ point betting favorite. The total went right at the closing line of 58 points.
The Bulls put up 518 yards of offense with 206 yards rushing for 4 ½ yards a carry. They lost the turnover margin by a -2 margin.
Quarterback B.J. Daniels hit on 19 of 30 passes for 312 yards with three touchdowns and two picks. Daniels led the team on the ground with 75 yards rushing on 14 carries. Demetris Murray ran it 18 times for 65 yards. Lindsey Lamar caught five passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
South Florida allowed Ball St 413 yards of offense with 169 yards rushing for nearly 5 yards a carry.
