The Detroit Pistons will travel in Game 1 to face the Cleveland Cavaliers. All eyes will be on Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love for the Cavaliers. Both have had issues shooting the basketball and were injured during last year’s playoffs. Detroit struggles from the free throw line.

The Miami Heat will host the Charlotte Hornets in Game 1 of the playoffs. The Heat are favored by -4 ½ points. Charlotte does not shoot well from the floor converting on just 43.9%. Miami is healthy and a very good offensive team making 47% from the field.

The San Antonio Spurs host the Memphis Grizzlies at 8PM Eastern Time. The Spurs are heavily favored in this spot by -16 ½ points. Memphis has lost ten of their past eleven games as the team has been crushed by injuries to impact players. The Grizzlies play without Marc Gasol, Brandon Wright and Michael Conley for the remainder of the season.

The LA Clippers host the Portland Trailblazers at 10:30PM Eastern Time. The Clippers are favored by -8 ½ points. Both teams can score as the Blazers average 105 points and the Clippers 104 points per game. For LA to have success in the playoffs, they need to defend and rebound which has been their issues in their past early post season exits.
