Georgia Tech travels to El Paso for the Sun Bowl with an overall record of 8-4 on their 2011 campaign in the regular season. The team is 3-2 on the highway.

David Sims had a rushing touchdown to go with his 36 rushing yards on 12 carries.
Stephen Hill led the Yellow Jackets with three receptions for 78 yards.
