Minnesota enters this week 17 contest with the Lions with an overall record of 6-9. The team puts up 17 points and 321 yards per game.

The Vikings hit the road for the eighth time on the season where they sit at 2-5. Their lone two road wins came at Washington and last Tuesday night in a 24-14 win against the Philadelphia Eagles as a +14 ½ point underdog.

Minnesota put up 337 yards and converted on 6 of 13 on third down. The team ran the ball 31 times for 161 yards for over 5 yards per rush. The Vikings had one turnover and took three away from the Eagles.

Quarterback Joe Webb completed on 17 of 26 passes for 195 yards with no touchdowns and picks. Webb ran it 6 times for 31 yards and a score.

Starting quarterback Bret Favre missed the game with a concussion and has been listed as questionable. Head coach Leslie Frazier has indicated if Bret Favre is healthy he would play. Favre will have to pass his concussion tests to be cleared to play.

On the ground it was Adrian Peterson who rushed the ball 22 times for 118 yards and a score.

Wide out Percy Harvin led the club with 7 catches for 100 yards. Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe contributed with 3 pass receptions for 32 yards.

On defense the Vikings allows its opponents 21 points and 309 yards per game.

Minnesota allowed the Eagles offense to produce 331 yards and 4 of 11 successful tries on third down. The Vikings allowed their NFC east opponent to run the ball 22 times for 107 yards for nearly 5 yards per rush.

They allowed the opposing quarterback to hit on 25 of 43 passes for 263 yards with a touchdown and pick.

Running back Jahvid Best had 6 carries for 24 yards. Best had a catch out of the backfield that went for a 53 yard touchdown. Maurice Morris on 12 carries ran for only 22 yards and a score.

Tight end Brandon Pettigrew led the team with four catches for 74 yards and a score. Calvin Johnson contributed with 4 receptions that went for 52 yards.

On defense the Lions surrenders 23 points and 351 yards per game.

Detroit allowed the Miami offense to produce 425 yards and to convert on 8 of 17 on third down. The Lions allowed 154 rushing yards on 37 carries for over 4 yards per rush against average. Detroit gave up a Dolphins touchdown in three of four appearances in the red zone.

The Lions allowed the opposing quarterback to hit on 29 of 44 passes for 278 yards with a touchdown and two picks.
