The Breeders Cup Mile is scheduled as a 9th race on the Churchill Downs race card with a post time of 5:20PM Eastern Time and its ESPN providing the television coverage.

Scheduled to run is a field of 11 filly and mares three year olds and up racing over the Churchill Downs turf course at a distance of 1 3/8ths of a mile.

Riding Vineyard Haven will be Alan Garcia and he is trained by Bin Seeed Suroor.

He has three tries at the distance of a mile and owns a win and a third place finish. This four year old colt had a good effort in the Cigar Mile finishing third just ¾ lengths off the winner.

Vineyard Haven has been lightly raced this season as he is making his third start this season.

His past six races has resulted in Brisnet figures of 103 or better.
