The UNLV Rebels will hit the highway in the Mountain West conference opener against the Utah Utes on Saturday afternoon.
This game will kick off from Utah at 4PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by The Mountain.
The point spread opened up with the home team Utah Utes opening as a 21 point favorite with the over under coming in at 54 ½ points.

The UNLV Rebels opened a new season posting the 41-21 loss to the Wisconsin Badgers as a 20 point underdog.

Junior running back CJ Cox rushed for 25 yards on 5 carries. Freshman back Tim Cornett saw only 3 carries but rushed for 36 yards.
Wide out Phillip Payne led the team with 4 catches for 71 yards and a touchdown last week.
The Rebels were a very poor defense in 2009. Teams ran all over UNLV last season and the Badgers crushed the Rebels for 278 rushing yards and a 5.6 yards per rush average. The Badgers dominated time of possession by a 38 to 22 minute margin.
Utah withheld the strong test from Big East conference power Pittsburgh last week in posting the 27-24 overtime victory as a 3 point home favorite. A troubling stat for the Utes is their defense could not hold a 24-13 fourth quarter lead last week in the final 8 minutes. Another correctable issue is the teams 11 penalties for 99 yards and 3 turnovers.
Jordan Wynn passed for 21 of 36 for a very good 283 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 pick against a good defensive team in the Panthers. Wynn suffered a thumb injury during the victory and will be a game time decision for the Utes.
Senior Terrance Cain is the backup who saw action early on in 2009 before losing his job to Wynn. Cain hit on 63.7% of his passes last season with 11 touchdowns and 5 picks.
It was senior running back Matt Asiata with 16 carries and 65 yards rushing and fellow senior Eddie Wide with 47 yards on 9 carries against Pittsburgh in week 1.
Sophomore wide out DeVonte Christopher had a huge game with 8 catches for 155 yards on a touchdown in victory. Senior Jereme Brooks had 5 catches with a very good 17.4 yards per reception average.
Defensively the Utes held the Panthers to 266 total yards and held the Big East team to only 5 of 14 conversions on third down. The Panthers could only average 2.3 yards per rush on 36 carries.
