The Gators were an outstanding defense last season allowing just 12 points and 252 yards per game. The team finished the 2009 regular season at 13-1 with the lone loss coming to Alabama in the SEC championship game. The Gators pounded Cincinnati 51-24 as a 13 point favorite in the Sugar Bowl.
