The Michigan Wolverines will hit the road to face non conference rival the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a college football game on Saturday afternoon.
The game will kick off from Notre Dame at 3:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by NBC TV.
The point spread in this game opened up with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish coming in as 4 point favorites.
The early money from the college football betting public saw the first tick come on the road underdog Michigan Wolverines as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are now 3 ½ point favorites.

Michigan opened up their 2010 season posting an impressive 30-10 victory against the Connecticut Huskies from the Big East conference as 3 point favorites.
Sophomore quarterback Denard Robinson was outstanding hitting on 19 of 22 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown. He also led the Wolverines on the ground with 197 yards on 29 carries and a touchdown in running the spread offense.
Running back sophomore Vincent Smith produced 51 yards on 14 carries last week and a touchdown.
Junior wide out Darryl Stonum led the Wolverines with 5 catches for 34 yards.
The Wolverines piled up 473 yards on the Connecticut defense and converted an impressive 14 of 19 on third downs. It was nearly a mistake free afternoon as Michigan committed no turnovers and had just 1 penalty.
The biggest improvement visually was Michigan’s play on defense and their tackling ability. They looked faster and stronger and got off the field as they limited the Huskies to only 4 of 15 on third downs which had been a bugaboo in previous seasons under Rich Rodriguez.
The Brian Kelly regime at Notre Dame got off to a good start as the team posted a 23-12 victory against Purdue as a 11 point betting favorite.
Purdue was an inexperienced opponent losing 10 starters from a season ago and breaking in a new starting quarterback who had to make his debut on the road at Notre Dame. So the Michigan win was a bit more impressive not only on paper but in the eye test.
Sophomore quarterback Dayne Crist debuted as a starter by hitting on 19 of 26 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown.
The Irish’ running game looked impressive as their offensive line looked strong and in good shape which is something we couldn’t say during the Charlie Weis era. They were plowing holes for their running backs.
Senior running back Armando Allen rushed 18 times and produced 93 yards and 1 touchdown. Freshman Cierre Wood produced 58 yards on the ground on 7 carries for a good debut.
With Golden Tate competing in the NFL junior Michael Floyd stepped up with 5 catches for 82 yards with an impressive 16.4 yards per catch average. Tight end Kyle Rudolph had 5 catches for 43 yards.
Notre Dame played well on defense last week in wrapping up and making good tackles. The Boilermakers produced 322 yards last week and were just 5 of 17 on third downs.
They did allow Purdue quarterback Robert Marve to complete 31 of 42 passes for 220 yards but the Irish picked him off 2 times. Purdue gained just 3.2 yards per rush last week.
