The Marshall Thundering Herd from Conference USA will travel to face Big Ten powerhouse the Ohio St Buckeyes in a college football game on Thursday night.
They kick off this contest from Ohio St at 7:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by the Big Ten Network.
The LVSC college football odds makers opened the betting line in this game and it was the Ohio St Buckeyes opening up as 28 point favorites with an over under of 47 ½.
The early money from the bettors has come on the side of the favorite as the Ohio St Buckeyes are now 29 ½ point favorites. The total has not moved off the opener of 47 ½.

Marshall returns to the field in 2010 seven starters to the offense and seven to the defense. The team is coming off a 7-6 season and a win in their bowl game with the 21-17 victory against Ohio U as a 3 point underdog. It was the teams first bowl appearance since 2004.
The team returns senior quarterback Brian Anderson. The signal caller completed 58% of his passes in 2009 for 2646 yards with 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Anderson will have Clemson junior transfer Willy Korn competing for the starting position.
With top rusher Darius Marshall graduating the team will punch in sophomore back Martin Ward at the position. Ward in 2009 was the second leading ball carrier with 82 rushes for 403 yards and three touchdowns. Marshall posted solid numbers last season with 227 carries for 1177 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The club returns its top receiver from a year ago as Antavious Wilson pulled down 60 catches for 724 yards and three touchdowns. Four of the Thundering Herd’s top 5 pass catchers from a season ago returns in 2010.
Marshall averaged 22 points and 349 offensive yards in 2009. The defense held their opponents to 24 points and 372 yards per game.
The Thundering Herd met a powerhouse last season in Virginia Tech and got pounded 52-10 in week 2 as a 19 ½ point underdog.
Ohio St will bring back 10 offensive starters and only 6 to the defense in 2010. There are talks of a National Championship run for the Buckeyes this season. The club finished 11-2 last year and defeated Oregon in the Rose Bowl 26-17 as a 5 point underdog.
Junior quarterback Terrell Pryor brings in tons of momentum after leading the Buckeyes to a Rose Bowl win. Pryor only completed 56.5% of his passes for 2094 yards 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Pryor led the Buckeyes on the ground with 1014 yards on 162 carries and 7 touchdowns. The Buckeyes return their top four ball carriers from a year ago. Senior Brandon Saine rushed 145 times for 768 yards and 4 touchdowns and junior Dan Heron contributed with 153 carries and 633 yards with 7 TD’s.
The Buckeyes top 4 pass catchers are back and are led by junior Devier Posey who posted 60 catches for 828 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2009.
Ohio St produced an average of 29 points and 369 offensive yards per game. Their defense was stout allowing their opponents just 13 points and 262 yards per game. Opposing running backs could only muster 2.9 yards per carry against their defense last season.
