Junior quarterback Austin Davis Jr. returns as the clubs starter. He was the teams 2009 starter before suffering a foot injury in week 5. Prior to his injury Davis Jr. completed 69.2% of his passes for 1165 yards 10 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions.
The Golden Eagles top receiver returns as junior wide out DeAndre Brown Jr. had 47 catches for an impressive 16.7 yards per reception average and 9 touchdowns.
Their running game will have to revamp as the team loses their top two backs from 2009 that combined for over 1700 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns and for over 5 yards a carry.
Defensively the Golden Eagles allowed 26 points per game to their opponent with a 393 yards per game against average in 2009. Their weakness was the pass as opposing quarterbacks passed for 261 yards per game against them.
