J.P. Losman the third stringer has hit on 3 of 5 passes for 7 yards no touchdowns and 1 pick.
Minnesota sits at 1-1 in the preseason. The team has been impressive on the defensive end allowing an average of 11 points and only 210 ½ yards per game.
Veteran quarterback Bret Favre saw limited time last week hitting on just 1 of 1 passes for 10 yards and he took a sack.
Backup Tavaris Jackson has completed 9 of 15 passes for 54 yards no touchdowns and picks. Sage Rosenfels is battling Jackson for the backup to Bret Favre. Rosenfels in two preseason games has completed 25 of 41 for 321 yards three touchdowns and no picks. Rookie Joe Webb from UAB is the odd man out and has completed in limited action 11 of 20 passes for 84 yards a touchdown and no picks.
The Vikings have been hit with injuries to their wide receiver position as Sidney Rice will miss at least half the regular season with a hip injury and Percy Harvin is battling migraine issues. He is questionable for Saturday’s game.
