The Green Bay Packers will travel in a week 2 NFL preseason contest with the Seattle Seahawks on late night Saturday night.

Green Bay is coming off a 27-24 defeat at home to Cleveland to open the preseason.

Starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a good start to his preseason completing 12 of 13 passes for 159 yards an a touchdown. He was relieved by former LSU quarterback Matt Flynn who went 9 of 15 in the game for 69 yards with an interception. Rookie Graham Harrell from Texas Tech finished up the game and went 3 of 7 for 13 yards.

Second year back Kregg Lumpkin was given a good look last week with 11 rushes for 42 yards and a touchdown. Lumkin will sit out this game with a hamstring problem. Quinn Porter saw 9 carries for 38 yards.

Greg Jennings was solid in the opener with 3 catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. Packers receivers caught 24 balls for 241 yards last week.

Defensively the Packers allowed Cleveland go gobble up 296 yards. They allowed 211 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Pass defense was an issue last post season for the Packers.

Seattle’s home opener was a winning one as the club defeated Tennessee 20-18. The Seahawks were efficient on third down converting 9 of 19.

Matt Hasselbeck started and completed only 4 of 10 passes for 26 yards. New backup Charlie Whitehurst got a good look last week and completed 14 of 22 for 214 yards two touchdowns and 1 interception. Former NFL starting quarterback J.P. Losman mopped up and went 3 of 5 for 7 yards.

Five year veteran running back Quinton Ganther got 11 carries last week for Seattle but could only produce 36 yards. Julius Jones and Justin Forsett could only combine for 30 yards on 12 carries.

Fourth year wide receiver Mike Williams out of USC broke a 51 yard touchdown reception last week. Four Seahawks receivers averaged 18 yards per catch or better as they exploited the Titans pass defense.

The Seahawks defense held the Titans to only 5 of 15 on third downs. Tennessee was able to scored a touchdown in each of their two trips in the Seahawks red zone.
