In the second half it was Landon Donovan with a brilliant goal in the 48th minute and Michael Bradley got the equalizer in minute 82. A US goal was disallowed shortly after off a header from a Landon Donovan free kick which proved to be an error by the games referee.

In the case England and US draw England must score 3 more goals than US to enter the knockout stages or with England scoring 2 more goals they would draw lots.
If England draws and Algeria defeats US it will be Algeria eliminating England from the World Cup.
