Phoenix Suns versus Portland Trailblazers TNT TV Playoffs 4-29-2010 Game 6 Pro Basketball Sports Betting Odds Pick Preview

The Portland Trailblazers will look to stave off elimination when they host the Phoenix Suns in a game 6 of their NBA playoffs series on Thursday. Tip time from Portland is scheduled for 10:35PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by TNT.

The LVSC NBA odds makers have set the betting line in this game and it was the home team Portland Trailblazers opening as 1 ½ point favorites with the over under coming in at 202.

The bettors came in early with their money on the side of the road underdog Phoenix Suns, as the Portland Trailblazers are 1-point favorites. The total saw early wagering towards the under, as the game is hung at 201 ½.

Those backing the home team Portland Trailblazers on the money line will lay –120 odds with the road underdog Phoenix Suns returning +100 to win the clincher without the need for points on their side.

Phoenix put the Trailblazers on the brink of elimination off their 107-88 home victory in game 5 as 7 ½ point favorites. The Suns started out strong with a 57-47 halftime lead and never looked back. The Suns were aggressive and won the rebounding battle by a 47-39 margin.

Amare Stoudemire led the starters in game 5 with 19 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the field and only 5 rebounds. He has averaged 20.2 points and 6 boards on 52.9% shooting from the field in this playoff series. Game 5 was about the Suns bench, which has contributed, big time all season. Head coach Alvin Gentry has done an outstanding job building a good supporting cast. Channing Frye in 27 minutes contributed with 20 points. Jared Dudley on 6 of 10 shooting produced 19 points. Fifty-five of the Suns 107 points came off the bench. The Suns will have energy in this game because non one played more than 32 minutes in game 5 and the team gets that extra days rest after having last played on Monday April 26th.

Brandon Roy gave it another go in game 5 and produced just 5 points in 2 of 7 shooting. Roy underwent knee surgery over a week ago and in two games has produced just 6 of 17 shooting for a 7.5 points per game average. It has been reported that Roy will start in game 6. He has played no more than 27 minutes in any of these two games and Roy told the media that he is under no minutes limit in a must win game 6 at home. LaMarcus Aldridge produced 17 points on 8 of 15 shooting in game 5. He may need to replicate that 31-point effort he had in game 4 to extend this series.

Trend: The Under is 2-0 in the two playoff games played in Portland
