The Lakers were again off their game on the offensive side making just 37.5% of their shots after being held to 41% in game 1. LA has not eclipsed 100 points in any games of this series. The Lakers have lived on their defense limiting the Thunder to only 39.2% shooting. LA dominated the offensive glass in game 2 by winning the offensive rebounding advantage by a 19-7 margin. For the rest of the big 6 it was pretty ugly as they converted on only 9 of 48 from the field. It wasn’t so much good defensive as Fisher, Artest and Odom missed good looks. Game two was there for the taking for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Only 1 of the Lakers big 6 were able to shoot better than 50%. But with Bynum, Gasol and Odom’s length on the boards the Thunder gave LA way too many possessions, which was the determining factor in game 2. If the Thunder cant rebound they cant win. Kevin Durant contributed with 32 points on 12 of 26 shooting in the teams’ loss in game 2. The NBA’s leading scorer has been held to only 38% shooting and has made just 28.6% of his three pointers. Jeff Green has looked very shaky and nervous as the young forward has struggled hitting on only 26.1% of his shots in this series and 2 of 9 from three.
