Dayton Flyers versus Mississippi Rebels ESPN2 TV NIT Tournament College Basketball Sports Betting Odds Pick Preview

The Dayton Flyers from the A10 conference will do battle with the Mississippi Rebels from the SEC conference in an NIT Tournament semifinal game on Tuesday night. Dayton started fast getting out to a 38-25 lead en route to their victory. The Flyers had a good shooting night hitting on 48.1% of their shots and 8 of 18 from beyond the arc. Illinois was held to only 37.7% shooting by the A10 conference school. Chris Johnson led Dayton with 18 points on 9 of 10 shooting from the free throw line.

Dayton began play in the NIT off their 63-42 blowout win against Illinois St from the Missouri Valley conference as a 7 ½ point home favorite. They then hit the highway and came away with the impressive 81-66 road win against Cincinnati from the Big East conference as 3 ½ point road underdogs. Dayton shot well in victory hitting on 48.3% of their shots and held the Bearcats to just 33.3%. In the NIT the Flyers have allowed no greater than 37.3% shooting from the field.

The Mississippi Rebels sits with a 24-10 overall record and 9-7 versus SEC conference opponents. The school is coming off a 90-87 double overtime victory against the Texas Tech Red Raiders as 9-point home favorites. Ole Miss struggled from the field making on 39.5% of their shots and only 19 of 31 from the free throw line in victory. Guard Chris Warren led the Rebels with 22 points and 6 of 6 from the free throw line in victory.

The Rebels began play in the NIT with the 84-65 home victory against the Troy Trojans as a 13-½ point betting favorite. In the NIT quarterfinals they then hosted the Memphis Tigers and came away with the 90-81 victory as a 4-point favorite. Ole Miss had a great shooting night in victory hitting on 50% of their shots and 44.4% from the three-point line.
