The team enters play losers of 2 straight games. They are coming off a 76-67 road loss at Colorado St on Saturday as a 2-½ point underdog. The loss took away the ability for the Utes to win one game in the Mountain West Tournament to qualify for an at large bid into the NIT, CBI and College Insider Tournament. Utah converted on just 40% of their shots and allowed the Rams to hit on 50%. Guard Marshall Henderson led the Utes with 18 points at Colorado St in defeat.
