These Big 12 teams are meeting for the second time this season. It was the Texas Longhorns with the 90-83 road victory over the Iowa St Cyclones on February 13th as a 7 ½ point betting favorite. Texas was hot from the field in victory hitting on 50% of their shots and 49.2% from beyond the arc.

Texas sits at 23-8 overall and 9-7 in Big 12 conference play this season. The team needs a win here or could find themselves on the bubble and having to sweat out of a bid on Selection Sunday. Texas was only a .500 team down the stretch with a 5-5 record in their last 10 games. The school is coming off a bad 92-77 road loss to Baylor on Saturday as a 2 ½ point underdog. It was a poor defensive performance for the Longhorns as they allowed the Bears to hit on 54.5% of their shots. Forward Gary Johnson led Texas with 25 points on 10 of 15 shooting from the field in their loss to Baylor on Saturday.

The Iowa St Cyclones enters play in the Big 12 conference tournament with a 15-16 overall record and 4-12 record against league opponents. The team has no shot for an at large bid into the NCAA Tournament and must win at least two more games to be eligible for an at large bid into the NIT, CBI or CSI consolation tournament. The team struggled down the stretch losers of 8 of their past 10 games. They closed out regular season play in style pulling out an impressive 85-82 road victory over the Kansas St Jayhawks as 15 point road underdogs. Iowa St shot well hitting on 47.5% of their shots and allowed just 34.3% shooting to Kansas St. Forward Craig Brackins led the Cyclones with 19 points on 7 of 15 shooting. Iowa St was very balanced with 5 players with double digit scoring in their upset win on Saturday.

Trend: Texas Longhorns are 3-13 ATS versus Big 12 conference opponents this season
