This will be the first and only regular season meeting between these Big 10 conference teams. Last year it was Purdue earning an 81-67 home victory as a 22-point favorite. Purdue shot the ball very well in victory hitting on 57% of their shots and they allowed Indiana to shoot for 50%. Purdue on that night could not cover that huge point spread because they only made 18 of 33 shots from the free throw line.

The Boilermakers enters this game 6-3 in Big Ten conference play and 7-2 this season on the road. The team has responded well off their three game Big Ten losing streak by posting four straight wins in conference. The team is coming off a 66-46 home win against Penn St on Sunday. Their defense was outstanding in victory limiting the Nittany Lions to just 31% shooting from the field. Purdue is 2-2 this season in road games in conference. They dropped a 73-66 decision on the highway to Wisconsin and a 72-64 beating at Northwestern. Junior Robbie Hummel is coming off a nice game against Penn St with 23 points on 9 of 17 shooting from the field.

Indiana is 9-11 straight up on the season and 3-5 against the Big Ten. They have had problems shooting in conference play as the team has hit on just 39% of their shots. Indiana has dropped their past 2 games. They are coming off a good effort in their 72-70 loss at Illinois this past Saturday. In their last home game it was the Indiana Hoosiers suffering an embarrassing 58-43 loss against Iowa on January 24th. Indiana has shot just a bit over 35% from the field in their past 2 games. Sophomore guard Verdell Jones III hopes to rebound off a 5 of 20 shooting performance last time out in their loss at Illinois.

Trend: Purdue Boilermakers are 2-5 ATS in their past 7 games
