The Tennessee Titans will hit the highway in a week 17 NFL pro football game with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Kick off time in Seattle is scheduled for 4:15PM Eastern Time with regional television coverage provided by CBS.

The Seahawks have been eliminated from the playoffs for weeks now. They have played very poorly down the stretch losers of three straight games scoring no more than 10 points in that stretch. The Seahawks were sloppy committing 9 turnovers in their past 2 games.
Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has had a poor season leading the Seahawks. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is his last game with the club. He hit on 60% of his passes with 16 touchdowns and 16 interceptions this season. Eight of Hasselbeck’s 16 interceptions have come in his past two games. The Seahawks know what they got with second-string quarterback Seneca Wallace. It may be a good time for the Seahawks to take a look at rookie quarterback Mike Teel in this game. The rookie from Rutgers has not seen action this season and week 17 would be a perfect time to see what he has to offer.
Running back Julius Jones has been ailing this week at practice. We may see a lot of second year pro Justin Forsett in the backfield. Forsett has carried the ball 104 times this season with a 5.2 yards a carry average. The Seahawks would be wise to allow this young back to see at least 20 carries on Sunday.
Defensively the Seahawks are a mess like they were in the 2008 season. The team allows 25 points a game. Their secondary has been torched this season allowing 250 yards passing ranking 30th in the NFL.
With their loss to the San Diego Chargers on Christmas Day the Tennessee Titans were eliminated from the playoffs. It was an ugly 42-17 defeat for the Titans. The Titans committed three turnovers and gave up 166 yards on the ground and 259 through the air to San Diego. The Titans played without their two starting linebackers last week and they have been lost to season ending injuries.
Quarterback Vince Young is coming off a bad game last week hitting on 38% of his passes with just 89 yards no touchdowns and 2 interceptions in defeat. All in all the Titans went 7-2 this season with Vince Young starting under center.
Running back Chris Johnson will have plenty to play for on Sunday. The second year back has rushed for 1872 yards this season and is just 128 yards away from that magical 2000 yards rushing for the season. One can expect a lot of running chances for Johnson to eclipse the 2000 yards rushing total. Johnson has 322 carries this season with a 5.8 yards a carry average. With Johnson getting the bulk of the carries fourth year pro LenDale White has not seen many opportunities this season. Once Johnson is well over 2000 yards rushing for the season we could see White finally get some carries. He has rushed 63 times this season with a 3.5 yards a carry average.
Tennessee allows nearly 26 points a game this season. They have had problems defending the pass allowing 264 yards through the air per game this season ranking 31st in the league. Tennessee’s secondary has been torched for 606 passing yards combined the past two games.
