The Green Bay Packers sit with a record of 9-5 and one game ahead of the New York Giants for a playoff spot. If Green Bay wins out they will earn a playoff spot. The Seahawks are having a disappointing season at 5-9 and have been eliminated from the playoffs.

The Green Bay Packers are coming off a bad 37-36 road loss at Pittsburgh last week. Ben Roethlisberger torched the Packers secondary last week for 503 passing yards in their loss to the Steelers. The loss negated a good passing performance from Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay signal caller hit on 26 of 48 passing for 383 yards three touchdowns and a pick in defeat. The Packers passed 48 times and ran just 12 against the good Pittsburgh rush defense. Rodgers is having a solid year hitting on 64% of his passes with 28 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Running back Ryan Grant didn’t get many touches last week with 8 carries for 37 yards. The third year back is averaging 4.3 yards a carry on the year. The Packers have done a good job this season defending the run allowing just 83 yards per game and only 3.6 yards per rush attempt ranking 2nd in the NFL. Their secondary will be facing a Seahawk club that has been inept offensively on the road.

It is yet another disappointing season for the Seattle Seahawks as they sit with a 5-9 record on the year. They are coming off a horrible performance in front of their home crowd last week in losing to the hapless Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-7. The Seahawks committed 5 turnovers in their loss. That is now back-to-back bad games for the Seahawks who mailed in a 24-7 loss to Houston the week prior. Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck had an awful game with 4 interceptions and an embarrassing fumble in a loss to a horrible defense in Tampa Bay. One lone bright spot was running back Justin Forsett producing 55 rushing yards on 9 carries and he broke a run for 35 yards. Forsett has been inconsistent running the football. On the defensive side opposing quarterbacks has shred the Seahawk defense. The team is 29th against the pass on the year allowing 249 yards a game. Good passing teams have totally exploited Seattle as the team suffered bad losses at Houston, Minnesota, Arizona, Dallas and Indianapolis. Aaron Rodgers will have a huge game against Seattle on Sunday.
