Taylor is a threat as well to run and has rushed for 344 yards on 101 carries. Running back Ryan Williams had a tremendous season rushing for 1538 yards with 5.7 yards a carry average. The Hokies defense had a solid season allowing just 15.8 points per game. The team is 2nd in the ACC in total defense allowing just 300 yards a game. The Hokies have notable victories over Nebraska, Miami Florida and Boston College. Frank Beamer is in his 23rd year coaching the Hokies. The team defeated the Cincinnati Bearcats 20-7 in the Orange Bowl last year. The team failed to win the ACC conference this season due to a 28-23 road loss at ACC champions Georgia Tech.
