The Chicago Bears will hit the highway in week 15 with an NFL football game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon. Kick off time in Baltimore is scheduled for 4:15PM Eastern Time with regional television coverage provided by Fox. Note there was a time change on Friday due to inclement weather in Baltimore from 1PM to now a 4:15PM Eastern Time start time on Sunday afternoon. The Baltimore Ravens got a much-needed win last week by pounding the Detroit Lions 48-3 last week. The Ravens are in the hunt for a wildcard spot in the AFC with a 7-6 record. The Ravens have lost to 5 division leaders and to Green Bay this season. So a game against the 5-8 Bears should be an easier spot for the Ravens. The Ravens went back to their strength last week with 40 rushing carries with 308 yards rushing on the hapless Lions. With a running trio of Ray Rice, Willis McGahee and Le’Ron McClain its strange that the team would get away with what worked last season. So it makes little sense putting the game in the hands of second year quarterback Joe Flacco. It has become apparent that Flacco cannot carry this team and he desperately needs an explosive run game to be an effective quarterback. Joe Flacco has hit on 63% of his passes with 15 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. But with the season on the line expect the Ravens to go back to what works. Should the Ravens control the ball and clock behind a stout running game it will keep the Ravens stout defense fresh and effective once again. Last week it was 40 rushes and only 23 passes and that’s the ratio of run and pass that works for the Ravens. Defensively the Ravens allow just 16.8 points per game. The Bears are in the midst of a miserable season sitting at 5-8 this season. The Bears have officially been eliminated from playoff contention following the teams 21-14 loss to Green Bay last week. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler continued his poor play this season with 2 critical interceptions last week in the teams lost. Cutler has passed for 19 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. Jay Cutlers 17 of his 25 interceptions this season has come in his 6 road games this season. Leading ball carrier Matt Forte has not produced this season with just a 3.4 yards a carry average. The Bears are 1-5 on the road and have given up an average of 25 points on the highway. The Bears on offense has averaged just 10 points per game in their past 4 road games.
