The Baltimore Ravens will play on the road against the Green Bay Packers on NFL Monday Night football. Kick off time at Green Bay is scheduled for 8:35PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by ESPN. The LVSC NFL odds makers have set the opening point spread in this game and the Green Bay Packers opened as 2 ½ point favorites with the over under coming in at 44 ½. The early money from the NFL betting public has come in on the home team, as the Green Bay Packers are currently a 3-½ point favorite. The Ravens are coming off a much-needed win last week beating their division rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-17 in overtime. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco passed for 23 of 35 with 289 yards a touchdown and no picks in the Ravens victory over a good Pittsburgh secondary. Flacco had some issues with a sprained ankle but head coach John Harbaugh addressed the issue with the media saying it was not a major problem heading into Monday Night Football. Flacco is hitting on 65% of his passes with 13 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. The Ravens struggled in pass protection against the good Steelers pass rush as they allowed 5 sacks in the second half on Sunday night. Running back Ray Rice has been good this season with a 4.9 yards a carry average. He is always a big threat in the passing game with 61 catches for a pretty good 9.5 yards per catch average. Rice had a very respectable 88 yards on 19 carries last week against the stout Steelers run defense. The Ravens allow just 17 points per game on the season on defense and can bring heavy pressure on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay is coming off a 34-12 win at Detroit on Thanksgiving. Aaron Rodgers had a huge game against a bad Lions defense with 28 of 39 passing for 348 yards with three touchdowns and no picks in victory. Rodgers has not thrown a pick in his past three games. A huge issue for Rodgers is his pass protection as the signal caller has been sacked 44 times on the year. Running back Ryan Grant has been inconsistent this season and sports a 4.3 yards per carry average. He could only rush for 61 yards on 20 carries against the Lions defense last week. The Packers have a good defense allowing just 89 yards on the ground and 192 through the air. The Packers secondary is outstanding allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete just 53.3% of their passes ranking 1st in the NFL this season.
