The Dallas Cowboys will play on the road against their NFC East division rival the New York Giants in an NFL football game on Sunday afternoon. Running back Brandon Jacobs is just averaging 3.9 yards a carry on the season, which is a full yard below his 5.0 yards a carry average in the 2008 season. Jacobs rushed for just 39 yards on 12 carries against Atlanta two weeks ago and just 27 yards on 11 carries a week ago. On the defensive side the Giants have been hit with injuries to their secondary and teams have exploited them. Kyle Orton was able to pass for 18 of 28 for 235 yards in his win against the Giants. Prior to that the Giants allowed Atlanta to rally from a 14 point fourth quarter deficit to force overtime with Ryan hitting on 262 yards for the game. The Giants defense is giving up an average of 31 points per game during their past 6 games. Dallas enters this game off a 24-7 home win on Thanksgiving Day against the Oakland Raiders. Tony Romo hit on 18 of 29 for 309 yards and two touchdowns in victory. Romo has passed for 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on the season and has not had a multiple interception game since his three against the Giants in week 2. In a short week against Oakland running back Marion Barber had only 14 carries for 61 yards. Felix Jones is healthy and running efficiently by coming off 68 yards on 7 carries against the Raiders. The Cowboys defense has shown great improvement off their bye week. They have allowed their opponents to 17 points or less in their past 5 games.
