The Navy Midshipmen will make a long journey to the Hawaiian Islands to take on the Hawaii Warriors in a college football game on Saturday night. Kick off time in Hawaii is scheduled for 10:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by ESPNU. Navy will need to be good against the pass against the Warriors and they allow 204 yards per game through the air. Hawaii is 5-6 on the season and must win out to become bowl eligible and play in the Hawaii Bowl. The team not only has to beat Hawaii on Saturday but also must defeat Wisconsin next week at home. The team is coming off an overtime victory last week on the road at San Jose St winning 17-10. Despite over 400 yards of offense the Warriors could only muster 17 points. Sophomore quarterback Bryant Moniz was sidelined last week due to rib problems. Media reports have Moniz healthy and will play on Saturday. Moniz was third on the depth chart during the summer but moved into the starters role after injuries to the quarterback position. Moniz is hitting on 56% of his passes with 10 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. Moniz has averaged over 300 yards passing in his past three games. On the defensive side the Warriors do not see any option offenses playing in the WAC conference. The Warriors will be challenged to stop the run and the team sits 5th in the WAC in rushing defense allowing 188 yards rushing per game and a high 4.75 yards per rush against average.
