The Sun Devils have had quarterback issues all season and in game number 12 of the season still are searching for a starting quarterback. The Sun Devils have lost 5 straight games. Sophomore quarterback Samson Szakacsy hit on 15 of 22 passes last week for 197 yards two touchdowns and an interception. But Szakacsy threw a pick 6 and had a fumble returned for a touchdown in defeat. Senior quarterback Danny Sullivan has been ineffective this season hitting on just 54% of his passes with 8 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Sullivan was benched for good in the USC game after a poor performance and hasn’t seen action since the teams 14-9 loss to the Trojans on November 7th. Senior running back Dimitri Nance is the leading rusher for the Sun Devils with 165 carries for a 4.1 yards a carry average. The Sun Devils are pretty good on the defensive end allowing just 300 yards a game ranking as the #1 defense in the Pac 10.
