The Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to face their SEC rival the Auburn Tigers in a college football game on Friday afternoon. Kick off time at Auburn is scheduled for 2:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by CBS. The LVSC college football odds makers have set the opening point spread in this game and the Alabama Crimson Tide opened as a 13-point favorite. He has battled accuracy issues this season with 5 games under 58% passing accuracy. Sophomore running back Mark Ingram has gotten into Heisman Trophy discussions with 6.8 yards a carry average on the year. Alabama is the #1 rated defense in the nation allowing just 226 yards a game and just 9.9 points a game. The Auburn Tigers are bowl eligible and sit at 7-4 on the season. They enter the Alabama game off a bye and prior to that the team fell 31-24 at Georgia. The Tigers are 6-1 at home this season with their lone loss coming to Kentucky. Industry pundits have pegged the Auburn Tigers for the Papajohns.com Bowl on January 2nd. Senior quarterback Chris Todd is hitting on 60% of his passes with 19 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on the year. Todd put up a lot of his touchdown passes against non-conference opponents but against SEC competition has just thrown 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Senior running back Ben Tate is the leading ball carrier with 225 carries and a 5.4 yards a carry average. Auburn may have problems stopping the Alabama rushing attack as the team sits 10th in the SEC allowing 169 yards a game and a high 4.4 yards a carry average.
