The Saints are in a road back to back situation and playing the back end on Sunday in Tampa. New Orleans is coming off a 28-23 win at St Louis last week but its defense allowed 141 yards rushing and 293 through the air to the St Louis offense. The past 4 Saints win have not been easy with three games won fighting from behind. The Saints have some injury concerns as running back Reggie Bush has missed practice days this week with a swollen knee. Safety Darren Sharper has been hit with knee problems during practice and corner back Tracy Porter is out with an MCL sprain. Corner back Jabari Greer has missed practice with a groin pull so the Saints are paper thin in their secondary on Sunday. Drew Brees is hitting on 68% of his passes this season with 19 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. The Saints signal caller is his coming off a two touchdowns but 2-interception performance last week in victory. He will be passing against a very bad Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that allows nearly 30 points a game in their 5 home games. Brees will need to pile up points with injuries to their defense. Tampa Bay has given up major points and yardage to the good quarterbacks as Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Tony Romo has torched the Buccaneer defense. Brees should have a big game on Sunday. Tampa Bay is 1-8 on the season and literally blew a game last week to the Miami Dolphins. They allowed Miami to drive with a last minute drive on their defense behind a first year starting quarterback to beat them. Third string quarterback rookie Josh Freeman is now under center for the Buccaneers and the signal caller has only completed half of his passes this season with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Freeman has passed for 200 yards in both of his first two games. On the ground Cadillac Williams is averaging 3.9 yards a carry and Derrick Ward 3.7. They will be running against a Saints defense that allows 4.5 yards a rush attempt.
