Peyton Manning is coming off another 300 yards passing performance last week in the Colts 35-34 win against the Patriots last week. Manning is hitting on 69.7% of his passes on the season with 20 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions with 8 sacks. Manning did have a 2-interception game last week in victory. The Colts have not been running as Joseph Addai averages just 3.5 yards a carry on the season and rookie Donald Brown has been bothered by a sore back. On the defensive side the Colts allow just 15.8 points per game to their opponents. The Colts secondary does not give up many big plays as they only give up 9.0 yards per completion ranking first in the league. The Colts will need to be good against the run to stop Ray Rice and the Colts allow 4.3 yards a carry on the year Peyton Manning will look to pass against a Ravens secondary that has given up major yards and points this season to good quarterbacks such as Carson Palmer, Bret Favre, Phillip Rivers and Tom Brady which all resulted in defeats by Baltimore. The Ravens will have a short week after beating Cleveland 16-0 last Monday night. Baltimore is 5-4 on the season but has beaten the bad teams on their scheduled but has fallen to first place teams on their schedule thus far. Joe Flacco is hitting on 65% of his passes this season with 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Flacco has been sacked 18 times this season. The second year quarterback has only 1 touchdown pass in his past 3 games. Running back Ray Rice has ran the ball effectively this season with a 5.2 yards a carry average. Rice has had a rushing touchdown in his past 4 games. The Ravens suffered a huge injury to their defense last week as linebacker Terrell Suggs is out with a sprained knee. Baltimore allows a high 10.8 yards per completion against their defense ranking in the bottom third of the league.
Tony T’s Opinion: If this game makes my card I would look to be on the Indy side. Manning has been very good against the Ravens as the team has averaged 72 points in their past two games played in 2008 and 2007.
