Texas is #1 in the nation in total defense allowing just 232 yards a game and just 3.5 yards per play against average. Kansas is having a rough year sitting at 5-5 this season but still a win away from bowl eligibility. The team has struggled big time for offense and are losers of 5 games in a row. The team is averaging just under 17 points per game over their past 4. Senior starting quarterback Todd Reesing has been playing with a sore groin in recent weeks. The signal caller is coming off a bad game last week against Nebraska hitting on just 46% of his passes. Reesing has only 3 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions over his past 4 games. The team has been miserable on the ground with just a 3.7 yards a carry average. Its even worse when the Jayhawks run against Big 12 opponents as they average just 68 yards on the ground and 2.4 yards per rush average. Kansas will need to pass defend very well on Saturday and the team sits 6th in the Big 12 by giving up 224 rushing yards per game.
