The Central Michigan Chippewas will travel in MAC conference play when they face the Ball St Cardinals in a college football game in prime time on Wednesday night. Kick off time is scheduled for 8PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by ESPN2. The LVSC college football odds makers have set the opening point spread in this game and the Central Michigan Chippewas opened as a 20-point favorite. Ball St has been very competitive of late losing by 6 at Northern Illinois a week ago and a 3-point home loss to Ohio. They played Temple to a 5-point loss this year. So there has been close calls against the MAC conference better teams this season. Ball St has played against the pass pretty well not allowing over 161 yards thrown on them in their past 3 games. They held a very good Northern Illinois run game to just 134 yards on 37 carries last week. The team has struggled throwing the football this season with Kelly Page and Tanner Justice combining for just 51% passing with 9 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. On the ground MiQuale Lewis leads the team with a 5.2 yards per carry average this season. Ball St will need to be good against the pass and the team ranks 7th in the MAC allowing 211 yards passing on the year allowing a high 7.6 yards per attempt average.
