The Jacksonville Jaguars will look to get back in the win column when they play host to the Kansas City Chiefs in an NFL game on Sunday afternoon. Kick off time in Jacksonville is scheduled for 1PM Eastern Time with regional television coverage provided by CBS. The veteran quarterback could only complete 51% of his passes last week with no touchdowns and 2 interceptions. In seven games this season David Garrard has thrown just 5 touchdown passes and has played 5 of his 7 games without a touchdown pass. The Jaguars are getting production from running back Maurice Jones Drew who is averaging 5.5 yards a carry on the season. Jones-Drew has rushed for 310 yards in the teams past two games. Jacksonville gives up an average of 25 points per game. The Jaguars secondary has been very poor allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 71.1% of their passes, which is worst in the NFL. Kansas City is 1-6 this season and they enter this game off a bye. It was an awful performance heading into the teams bye as the Chiefs fell 37-7 home to San Diego. Kansas City has been very poor on offense on the season as the team can only average 15.0 points per game. Starting quarterback Matt Cassel has hit on only 54.8% of his passes this season with 8 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Cassel has only had two games with over 16 completions. Cassel has hit the surface this season as the 5th year pro has been sacked 24 times in only 6 starts this season. The Chiefs will be without running back Larry Johnson who is suspended for this game with bad behavior on his Twitter page. Larry Johnson can look at the mirror and see the problem. The disgruntled veteran is only averaging 2.7 yards per carry on the season and no longer runs with vigor. He has the look of a running back that is simply washed up. 2nd year pro Jamaal Charles will get the start and he has produced a 5.0 yards per carry average in 23 tries this season. On defense the Chiefs are also a leaky secondary allowing 252 yards through the air.
