We are going to pick from the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile on Saturday’s card from Santa Anita. Post time is at 5:12PM Eastern Time and you can watch it on ABC. Midshipman will have the services of jockey Garrett Gomez in the saddle with trainer Suroor Bin. Midshipman has raced very lightly in 2009 and is coming off a nice win at Belmont Park in an optional claiming race to get ready for this effort. The 3 year old colt posted a 97 Brisnet speed figure in his comeback effort. Prior to that race he was seen winning the Breeders Cup Juvenile back on October 25th of last year over this Santa Anita synthetic track surface and posting a 100 Brisnet speed figure in victory.
