It will be a MAC conference showdown when the Eastern Michigan Eagles face the Northern Illinois Huskies in a prime time Thursday night college football game. Kick off time at Northern Illinois is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by ESPNU. But Harnish has been injured with a knee problem and has missed the past two games and is questionable for this game. Sophomore quarterback DeMarcus Grady was under center the past two games and hit on 16 of 28 for 162 yards and no touchdowns and no interceptions. Grady didn’t throw much with just an average of 14 passes in those two games. Northern Illinois is good on defense allowing just 334 yards per game and 5.6 yards per play against average. Eastern Michigan is having a miserable season this year and sit at 0-8 on the season. In their 4 road games this season they have given up an average of just under 48 points per game. In their MAC road game at Central Michigan they were pounded 56-8. Eastern Michigan will have problems stopping the run as they are last in the MAC in total defense allowing 277 yards rushing per game and an atrocious 6.39 yards per rush attempt. Junior quarterback Kyle McMahon struggled through the season hitting on 55% of his passes with 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Eastern Michigan is only producing 3.6 yards per play rushing the football this season.
