In their meeting last season the Missouri Tigers embarrassed Colorado beating them 58-0. Missouri enters this game loser of three straight Big 12 conference games and struggling offensively. The Tigers have only put up 36 points over their three game losing streak. First year starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert is coming off a poor performance hitting on just 8 of 16 for 84 yards in defeat last week. Gabbert during the teams three game losing streak has been inaccurate hitting on less than half of his passes thrown with 2 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. The sophomore quarterback Gabbert is sporting a sore ankle but has practiced this week. Missouri is struggling in the ground game with just 3.4 yards per play average. Missouri is the 6th ranked defense in the Big 12 allowing 345 yards per game and 4.8 yards per play against average. It’s another disappointing season for Colorado head coach Dan Hawkins. The beleaguered head coach proclaimed a 10-win season in the summer and the team is sitting at 2-5 on the season. Their defense has failed allowing opponents 28 points a game. Offensively the team has been inept with just 301 offensive yards a game and a 22-point per game average. Inaccurate quarterback Cody Hawkins has hit the bench and now under center is sophomore quarterback Tyler Hansen. With Hansen the starting quarterback the team defeated Kansas 34-30 at home and then last week suffered a 20-6 loss. Hansen was just 7 of 14 for 89 yards and no touchdowns in Hansen’s first road start. Colorado is awful on the ground with just 2.7 yards per carry average. Colorado is last in the Big 12 allowing opponents 5.8 yards per play against average on their defense.
