New England exploited a very bad pass defense last week putting up 59 points on the winless Tennessee Titans. Tom Brady hit on 29 of 34 for 380 yards and 6 touchdown passes against the Titans secondary. The Patriots defense limited the Titans to –7 yards passing. Running back Laurence Maroney had a break out game with 123 rushing yards on 16 carries for 7.7 yards per carry average. Tampa Bay is a winless team with an 0-5 record this season. They are coming off a 21-14 loss at home to Carolina despite benefiting from 3 Panthers turnovers. Carolina ran all over Tampa last week with 267 rushing yards on 48 rushing attempts. Tampa Bay’s defense allows 370 yards per game this season. Dallas torched the Buccaneers secondary for 344 passing yards and Philadelphia in week 5 passed for 249 yards. Tampa Bay has the weakest safties in the league, as teams have been successful in passing over them. The problem for Tampa Bay is the fact that Tom Brady has got his deep touch back and it could be a very long night for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary. Buccaneers quarterback Josh Johnson has shown some ability but has turned the ball over. This is a tough spot for a first year quarterback facing a Bruce Belichick defense.

Tony T’s Opinion: Tom Brady may have found his form and that will not bode well for a very bad Tampa Bay secondary. It could be bombs away at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. There is no way I will be on Tampa Bay in this game. I am leaning on New England in this game based on the fact that Tom Brady was accurate again in his vertical passing game. Brady is facing another awful pass defense. If this game makes my card I would be on the Patriots side.
