The Hawaii Warriors are in sin city to face the UNLV Rebels in a late night college football game on Saturday night. Kick off time in Las Vegas is scheduled for 11PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by CBS College Sports TV. The LVSC college football odds makers have set the opening point spread in this game and the home team UNLV Rebels opened as 6 ½ point favorites. The early money from the college football betting public has come in on the favorite as the UNLV Rebels are currently a 7 ½ point favorite. UNLV comes into their home game with Hawaii with injury concerns at quarterback. Starting quarterback Omar Clayton will start despite bruising his knee last week in the team’s 23-21 closing minutes home loss to Oregon St. Clayton has completed 72% of his passes for 383 yards two touchdowns passing, two touchdowns rushing and 1 interception on the season. Clayton has been a more accurate passer this season than in 2008 when the quarterback completed only 58% of his passes. On the Hawaii side the team is coming off a 38-20 victory at Pac 10 School Washington State. The team continues to run its run and shoot offense and is led by senior quarterback Greg Alexander who has completed 72% of his passes for 453 yards three touchdowns and no interceptions. Hawaii has averaged 519 total yards of offense on the season but still possesses a defense that gives up the big play. Hawaii has defeated UNLV in their previous two meetings by a combined score of 91-27. The game will fall well short of a sell out. UNLV will open up Mountain West conference play next week with a game at Wyoming.
