The LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets NBA Western Conference Finals playoff moves to Denver for Game 3 on Saturday. Tip off time is set for 8:30PM Eastern Time with National TV coverage provided by ABC. Following the Nuggets upset victory in game 2 the series prices have been adjusted and LA is only a –130 favorite to win this best of 7 series with Denver at +110 to pull off the upset. LVSC has opened the numbers for game 3 and the Denver Nuggets are 2 ½ point favorites with the over under coming in at 211. Nuggets money has been pouring in, as there has been a full point movement on the number as Denver is currently a 3-½ point favorite. The total has saw upward movement to 211 ½. For money line players, Denver opened up as –130 favorites with the Lakers bringing back +110 to pull off the upset straight up victory in game 3. The bettors as in the point spread number has poured money on the Nuggets on the money line as Denver is currently a –170 favorite to win straight up with the Lakers at +150 to win without the aid of getting points.
The Nuggets bounced back in game 2 off a disappointing game 1 defeat with a strong performance by point guard Chauncey Billups. Billups in 43 minutes hit for 27 points, and as was 13-16 from the free throw line. The Lakers have continued to be hampered by the lack of production on both ends with the declining skills of point guard Derrick Fisher. Fisher was a mere 1-9 from the field with no attempts from the free throw line. The Lakers are better served with youth at the point and a move to putting Jordan Farmar at the point with the first unit would allow for the Lakers to have more rhythm offensively. Fisher does not possess the conditioning to play at a fast pace and his poor footwork exhibits his unwillingness to play at a high level with this team. Fisher is often flat footed and a step slow on the court and that is a sign of poor conditioning. Lakers head coach Phil Jackson continues to go with his experienced point guard and it may cost LA a championship. This was a big win for the confidence of the Denver Nuggets following a disappointing loss in game 1. It was not another late collapse by the Nuggets as they played well down the stretch. Chauncey Billups has made the difference for this club and the series prices reveals that Denver has a good shot of dethroning the defending Western Conference Final Champions.
Trend: Denver is 12-0 ATS in the NBA Playoffs this season.
The Wagerline consensus has 50.9% of the bettors on Denver –3 1/2
The Wagerline consensus has 69.2% of the bettors playing over 211 1/2
