The Houston Rockets will host the LA Lakers in game 6 of their best of 7 NBA Western Conference Semifinals Playoff Series. LA leads Houston 3-2 in games off their 40-point victory over the Rockets in game 5. Game six is scheduled for 9:30PM Eastern Time with ESPN providing the television coverage. LVSC has opened the LA Lakers as 8 ½ point favorites with the over under coming in at 197. The money has come in on the home team in game 6, as the Lakers are currently an 8-point favorite. The total has seen no movement with the current over under at 197. The Money Line report reveals an LVSC opening of the Lakers –400 to win straight up in game 6 with Houston the underdog at +300. There has been money coming in on the Lakers to win as the money has moved to the Lakers at –450 with Houston returning +375. So the smart money predicts a Lakers win but a Rockets cover.

After getting pounded by the Rockets in game 4 the Lakers responded at home in game 5 with a 118-78 thumping of the Houston Rockets. The Rockets were missing Yao Ming in the middle and Lakers capitalized by shooting for 51% from the field. The Lakers got good production from their bench as they contributed with 47 points. The lone sore spot for the Lakers continues to be the declining skills of point guard Derrick Fisher who continues to be a liability on the court for the Lakers. Fisher was a mere 1-6 from the field but Fisher did not appear ready for the start of the game as the Rockets stormed out of the gates. Once Jackson went to his bench and brought in Jordan Farmar at the point the Lakers began to pull away and control the game. Lakers head coach Phil Jackson has a tough decision to make as the first unit is much better with Farmar running the point but Jackson may be loyal to Derrick Fisher. Would Jackson’s loyalty to Fisher cost the Lakers a championship?

Trend: Houston is 11-3 ATS after a double-digit loss this season
