The 2009 Quail Hollow Championship PGA Golf Match up Betting Odds Preview

Match up odds have been set for the 2009 Quail Hollow PGA Golf Championships teeing off on Thursday morning. Match up betting for golf pits two golfers lined by Las Vegas and offshore sportsbooks in a head to head competition and the golfer producing the lowest score after 4 rounds will be declared the winner for match up betting purposes. Should the golfer the bettor backs fails to make the cut they will lose their match up betting selection regardless of score if their opponent completes all four rounds. Should both golfers fail to make the cut in a head to head match up wager the golf bet is declared as no action and refunds will be given out.

Tiger Woods is lined in a match up against Phil Mickelson. Tiger Woods is favored over the lefty Mickelson at –220 with Phil Mickelson paying his backers +180 to defeat Tiger Woods. Woods has a victory over this course in 2007 and has a 3rd place finish in 2004. Mickelson has never won at Quail Hollow but has three top 10 finishes in 6 tries over the course.

Hunter Mahan is matched up against Sean O’Hair in the betting. O’Hair is favored at –125 with Mahan the underdog in this match up at +125. O’Hair has finished in the Top 10 in his past 2 tournaments. Mahan has made the cut in all 9 of his tournaments in 2009.

Sergio Garcia is lined against Padraig Harrington in a Quail Hollow match up. Harrington is favored at –135 against Garcia with Sergio bringing back +115. Garcia is struggling on tour this season and possess’ no top 10 finishes. Harrington has finished no better than 43rd in two appearances at Quail Hollow.

Camilo Villegas and Jim Furyk are lined in a head to head match up for golf bettors. Furyk is the favorite at –135 with the underdog Villegas returning +110. Furyk won this event in 2006. Villegas has finished no better than 43rd in his previous three tries at Quail Hollow.

Nick Watney is in a match up with the 2008 Quail Hollow Champion Anthony Kim. Kim is a –150 favorite with the underdog Watney returning +130. Watney has three Top 5 finishes on tour this season.

Chad Campbell is lined in a head to head golf match up this week on tour against 2009 Masters Champion Angel Cabrera. Cabrera from Argentina is favored at –125 with Campbell returning +105 to his backers. The UNLV product Campbell led most of the way in this years’ Masters before losing a three-way playoff.
