It will be game number 4 in the best of 7 Western Conference Quarterfinal NBA Playoff series between the Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Hornets on Monday. Tip off time is scheduled in New Orleans at 8:30PM Eastern Time with NBA TV televising. The Nuggets lead this series 2-1 with both teams winning each time on their home court. Following New Orleans 95-93 victory the series price now has the Nuggets favored to win at –500 with New Orleans the underdog to pull off the series victory at +400. LVSC has sent out the opening number for game number 4 and the home team New Orleans Hornets were sent off as 4 point favorites with the over under coming in at 194 ½. The money has come in on the underdog Nuggets as New Orleans has fallen in the betting to 2 ½ point favorites. The total has gone down in the betting as the over under is currently lined at 193 ½.
In the opening minutes of game 3 it looked like the Denver Nuggets were going to run away from the New Orleans Hornets and take a 3-0 series lead. Denver opened with a 10-0 run off the opening tip and held a 20-6 lead. But then the Hornets took over with a 13-2 run and led by as much as 11 before hanging on for a 2-point victory in the end. James Posey contributed off the bench for the Hornets with 13 points and 9 boards in victory. But the issues facing the Hornets heading into game 4 is the play of Peja Stojakovic and Tyson Chandler. Peja had only 4 points in game 3 off of 1-9 shooting while the Hornets center Tyson Chandler took only 1 shot for the game for 2 points. Chris Paul has carried the Hornets in the post season and the talented guard contributed with 32 points in victory. Chauncy Billups cooled off in game 3 hitting on 3-10 from the field for only 16 points.
