Old Dominion at Bradley College Insider March Madness College Basketball Preview

In the Championship Game of the College Insider Tournament Old Dominion will play at Bradley. The LVSC send out in the game has the Bradley Braves as the 1 ½ point favorite with the total lined at 129. There has been line movement off the opener to the favorite as Bradley currently is a 2-point favorite. Money has come on the under in the game as the total is 127 ½. Old Dominion has earned a berth in the College Insider Tournament off 3 straight home victories over The Citadel, Belmont and James Madison. ODU Monarchs will make its first true road appearance here in the final of the College Insider Tournament. Bradley will now host all 4 of their games in the inaugural College Insider Tournament. Bradley defeated Austin Peay 81-74, then Oakland on a last second 75-foot desperation shot 76-49 and the University of the Pacific 59-49 to earn a berth in the finals. Bradly held Pacific to just 38% shooting and it was their best defensive performance of the tournament. Bradley’s semifinal victory over Pacific was well attended, as there were over 6,000 fans at the game. Attendance has been sparse at this tournament, as roughly about 2,000 fans a game have showed up at campus sites. Bradley has been the exception thus the Braves earn the home date for the final. The Braves have been good at home going 6-0 straight up in their past 6 in front of their home fans. Old Dominion has played an extremely weak non-conference schedule. The Monarch’s non-conference strength of schedule ranks 315th in the nation. Old Dominion is a very poor free throw shooting team as they convert on only 63.9% of their shots from the charity stripe. Old Dominion does not shoot many three’s making just 4.85 per game ranking them 298th in the country. ODU has struggle offensively hitting on 38% or less shooting in 3 of their past 5 ball games. The Bradley Braves have been outstanding at the three-point line at home during the College Insider Tournament hitting on 28-58. Bradley has been sloppy with the basketball during the CollegeInsider.com Tournament, as they have averaged 15 ½ turnovers a game. That is something that must be cleaned up in the finals against Old Dominion.
